Dr. Lyons is a published expert in the field of cosmetic medicine and aesthetic surgery. He is a former clinical instructor in plastic surgery at Yale University.  He is a practicing surgeon in Westport, Connecticut and a Diplomat of the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He is an active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgery, the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, the Connecticut Society of Plastic Surgery, the New Haven County Medical Society, and the Yale Surgical Society.  In l977, he received the Yale Plastic Surgery Residents' Award for Teaching Excellence.  

Dr. Lyons has extensive experience in all types of aesthetic plastic surgery including facelifts, eyelifts, forehead lifts, nose rehaping, liposuction, breast reduction and enlargement, and tummy tucks.   Most recently, he has worked with patients to reduce the signs of aging without surgery through skin revitalization, injectable treatments, nutrition and exercise programs. 

Dr. Lyons is the author of numerous publications including the Focus on Faces series, published in the Westport Minuteman, the Darien News/Review,  and the Greenwich Times ("Customized Skin Care" and "Vibrant Faces" from 2006; "Your Lips," "About Eyelifts" and "Contour Threads" from 2005, "Breast Diseases" from 1995, and "Medial TFL Flap" from 1982.  He has been cited in a wide variety of publications, from the Fairfield County Times and the New Haven Register to national periodicals such as Cosmetic Surgery Times, Self Magazine, and Real Simple.  

His television appearances include "Countour Thread Facelift"(WTNH, November, 2005), and "Treating Skin with Diet:  Fruits and Vegetables"(News 12 Connecticut, April, 2003).

Dr. Lyons was the National Junior Ballroom Champion in Latin and International styles and appeared on the Ed Sullivan show in l966.

Dr. Lyons is also a seasoned bodybuilder, fitness and nutritional expert.  The combination of his career as a plastic surgeon and his passion for fitness and nutrition gives him a unique understanding of the psychology of motivation and commitment and the physiology of muscle development and fat loss.
